How do you continue to foster creativity and innovation in the next growth phase of your business?
What makes Blinqx so special in the way you work?
“We like to foster a working atmosphere where colleagues feel free to think differently and try new ideas. We call that ‘Smart Rebels.’ Colleagues who are not afraid to think outside the box and who take real responsibility for their work. Who see change as an opportunity to grow, both for themselves, the company and our customers. That doesn’t mean, by the way, that we just go against the grain; it has to be with a clear vision and positive impact, of course.”
That sounds like Blinqx is not afraid of (calculated!) risks. How do you encourage such a culture of experimentation?
“For me, it’s not about achieving perfection, but about continuing to think ahead, staying curious about new developments and learning from mistakes. We like to give colleagues the freedom to make decisions independently. No micro-management, but trust. Trust in their ability to make the right choices and to learn from them. With the tremendous growth we are experiencing, it is a continuous process of improvement. Every day we look together for ways to do things better, both internally and for our customers.”
So how does that work in practice? How do you make sure colleagues don’t get stuck in habits?
“In my belief, it all starts with ownership. When people feel responsible for their work, they naturally start looking for ways to improve. We encourage the team to always remain critical. Dare to ask yourself, “Why are we doing this this way?”, “Is there a better way to do this? And that keeps us agile, which is crucial in a fast-growing company. We don’t want to get bogged down in processes, but always keep evolving.”
And that ownership, how exactly do you achieve it?
“When you give your team the space to make choices independently, it creates an atmosphere where people feel the confidence to pitch and try ideas faster. That happens when you share the same vision and feel connected to it; then you take responsibility for it.
I think it’s important for colleagues to know that making mistakes is allowed, as long as we learn from them. Experiencing this trust not only makes you do your job better, but as part of the organization you also feel more latitude to contribute to the broader goals of the company.”
How does this help the growth of Blinqx?
“By giving people space, we not only create room for personal development, but also for the development of our organization. When you’re not afraid or feel held back from trying new things, you stay in motion much more. And that benefits both our internal organization and the value we can provide to our customers.”
And what would you say to other companies that want to create such a work atmosphere?
“I would say give your people the freedom to fail, but make sure they keep learning. Trust their ability to make good choices. When you give people room to grow, you will see them take ownership and be able to accomplish much more in less time.
And make sure your organization does remain flexible during growth without complex processes and management layers – then you can act on trends and developments in your playing field, take Agentic AI for example now, much faster.
With this conviction, we have been able to build a team with a “growth mindset” that strives to improve – not just for their own work, but for the greater good. And that drive, that passion to keep getting better, that’s what makes the Blinqx family so successful.”
