How a collaborative careers site conveys our shared culture

Hi! I am Jessy Antonis, the new in-house recruiter at Blinqx. My job is to set up recruitment from within Blinqx and to help the different Blinqx locations find new talent. The most important tool for this is already in full swing: setting up a Blinqx careersite (a collaboration between HR and Marcom). Before that happens, I would like to take you through the ‘why’ of a joint careersite and how centralized recruitment helps to (re)connect the right candidates to us.

In a fast-growing organization like Blinqx, our shared culture is crucial to being and staying connected. A shared culture creates belonging, a sense of “being in ythe right place,” and motivation to go the extra mile for colleagues and in your work. This affects both ourselves and the growth of the organization.

The values we share together at every Blinqx location – Smart Rebels, Ambitious, Human Centered – are not only important pillars for how you work together, but also for how we present ourselves as an employer to (potential) candidates. I see it as our compass for who we are and how we interact with colleagues, clients and partners. A compass that I also want to use optimally in our recruitment procedures.

 

A broader perspective

That is why I am very pleased with the development of a central Blinqx careersite. With this we not only increase the efficiency and quality of our recruitment process, but we also have a great tool to increase our attractiveness as an employer. Instead of having each Blinqx location separately manage its own vacancies, we create one central platform in which all available positions within the Blinqx family are presented. This allows me to immediately offer candidates a broader perspective; they not only see the vacancies of one of our locations, but gain insight into all positions available within the various Blinqx locations. It shows that you have many opportunities here. Welcome to our club of Growth Builders!

Collaboration = added value

By centrally presenting all jobs within our family, I can make the perfect match between all candidates and positions, which increases the likelihood of long-term success. I have more overview and can match a good candidate who might be qualified but just not be the perfect match for a role on the Insurance & Mortgage sales team, to a similar role at BaseNet. Because what I see for myself: we are all family, but not exactly the same!

My goal is not just to attract the right skills, but the right people who fit the values we share as a family. By setting up a joint careersite, we bring these values to the forefront at the very beginning of every contact a candidate has with Blinqx, and continuously reflect them in the way we recruit, collaborate and grow. It also works the other way around: it allows a candidate to make a much better assessment of whether there really is a match with us; which ensures a more informed choice for Blinqx.

Moreover, with a joint careers site, we can create a valuable database of potential candidates. We can keep this talent pool of professionals warm for future job openings, which helps us all to quickly and efficiently respond to changing needs (expansion, succession) in our growing family. In this way, we ensure a continuous flow of talent, without having to go through a recruitment process every time and/or explain to external recruitment agencies what we are looking for.

 

 

In short, a shared careersite offers much more than just practical benefits. It is a powerful tool to communicate our values from the first moment someone comes into contact with Blinqx as an employer. It helps attract the right people, increase our appeal to top talent and ultimately contribute to the shared success and growth of Blinqx. Because smart rebels, ambitious and human centered?
