As an authorized insurance company of Dutch and international insurers, Yinco (part of Yellow Hive) offers an extensive product range with general and very specific insurance solutions. As the link between the insurer and the insurance advisor, they also work hard in the field of automation to make things as easy as possible for the customer. With the commissioning of the Service Provider Module of Blinqx, a number of nice steps were taken in that area.

Stefan van den Berg, Director of Proxy at Yinco, explains how Blinqx's Service Provider Module became available to them at just the right time. The tool that allows member agents to compare insurance policies at the touch of a button proved to be a hit.

The challenge

Stefan: "Our portfolio is growing by 15% a year and the number of clients is increasing exponentially with it. There are more and more mutations and therefore more work. In response we not only need more people, we also have to work more efficiently. A good example of this is insurance comparison. We wanted to make it even easier for our agents in the advisory process to compare insurances and present the offer to their customers.

Within Yellow Hive, we have been using DIAS Proxy for some time. So it was only logical that we initially started looking at options from eBlinqx Complete, of which DIAS has become a part. The My TP-based Service Provider Module came at exactly the right time for us."

Quotes are now created and sent to the consultant faster and without our intervention. This is an example of the efficiency I am looking for.

The process/method

"Before we moved to an overall rollout of the module, we put together a working group in consultation with Blinqx. First, together with a number of financial advisors, we created a process diagram of how they work and what that means for the workflow. We then set up this setup technically and set up a pilot to see how this works out in practice.

The feedback from the acceptance tests was incorporated into an improved set-up that we personally introduced to one of our advisors. It turned out that the Service Provider Module is so user-friendly that the other advisors can only get started themselves with a login. In an online session we did give a presentation on its use.

We worked with Rick Mulderij of Blinqx in this process. He is the creator and founder of My TP which is the basis of the Service Provider Module. Rick is a great person to work with and knows the software like no other. He is proud of the product and thus extra motivated to solve any problems quickly and properly."

The result

Efficiency

We want to use the Service Provider Module with as many advisors as possible. This allows advisors to be served very quickly with standard quotes, while underwriters can focus on custom quotes. I expect higher productivity, but cannot yet back this up with concrete figures.

Satisfied agents

The Service Provider Module has been enthusiastically received. It works fast, looks nice and the effortless comparison of insurance policies is greatly appreciated. This could eventually have a positive impact on strengthening relationships with and recruiting (potential) intermediaries.

Better understanding of processes by the consultant

With the implementation of the Service Provider Module, we have gained new insights into the advisor's processes. This allows us to tailor our services even better to both the advisor and the customer.

What’s next?

"The next step is to further roll out the Service Provider Module to more advisors. Perhaps we will also offer agents the opportunity to offer the comparison tool on their own website. That way, the consumer can make the comparison themselves and, based on this, have further discussions with the advisor.
We are also consulting with Blinqx to see how and when we can automate the finalization of policies. At the moment this is still done by one of our employees, but we would like to have the checks they make to accept the risks done by the system. Then we only have to personally handle the special cases ourselves.
Blinqx is working non-stop on all kinds of new developments. Some of these are also on our wish list to further realize the service we envision."
