Blue Legal's goal was to simplify their processes while being better prepared to meet the needs of their clients. Jan Gerrit Kroon, attorney and mediator at Blue Legal, emphasized the need for a system that fit their business philosophy of being client-centric rather than system-centric. He explains: "I worked as an employment law and ICT lawyer. In my last role, I saw a lot of failed automation projects, but also knew what could go right. That's why we started looking at which application was suitable for our way of working.' By "our way of working," Jan Gerrit is not referring to the traditional legal profession. At Blue Legal, they prefer to speak of clients rather than customers, so software that supports the legal profession more as a business service was necessary. This perspective brought them to Blinqx Legal.

Jan Gerrit emphasizes that Blinqx Legal was already easy to use in 2015, and has remained the same in the meantime, despite the amount of functionality Blinqx Legal has added in the meantime. "We have quite a few young colleagues, and if you see how quickly everyone picks it up, the user-friendliness is just still very good," he says. Jan Gerrit loves technology (hence his specialization in ICT law), but at the same time does not want to be dependent on complicated technical solutions. He is happy to mention that this is not an issue with Blinqx Legal, as there is no need to engage third parties to use the software.
